SACRAMENTO – Organizations representing many California job creators announced their 2016 legislative vote records this month, and Senate Republicans earned top marks.
The California Chamber of Commerce (CalChamber) lists all Senate Republicans in the top tier of its vote record. The California Manufacturers & Technology Association (CMTA) also announced that all Senate Republicans received its highest possible vote record score. Additionally, every Senate Republican earned an impressive perfect score from the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).
Senate Republican Leader Jean Fuller (R-Bakersfield) issued the following statement in response to these accolades:
“I am honored that my Senate Republican colleagues and I have been recognized by job creators for our commitment to a stronger economy.
“Far too many Californians struggle to find work. Our state’s unemployment rate is still above the national average and many inland areas of our state face unemployment rates well above our state’s average.
“Senate Republicans will continue to fight for common sense solutions that improve our state’s abysmal business climate, ignite our state’s job creating engine, and make our state more affordable.”
