SACRAMENTO – Today, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), a small business organization with thousands of California members, announced that Senator Fuller earned a perfect score in 2016 for supporting small businesses.
“Our local small businesses are job creators and the backbone of our economy, and I am honored to earn this recognition,” said Senator Fuller. “The last thing our economy needs is even more job crushing mandates being signed into law. Going forward, I will continue to stand up for solutions that support our local small businesses, a stronger economy, and job creation.”
“Senator Jean Fuller’s 100% rating with NFIB is a testament to her unwavering commitment to protecting small businesses both in the Central Valley and across California,” said NFIB/CA State Executive Director Tom Scott. “We applaud Senator Fuller’s perfect voting record with NFIB which is critical to protect small businesses from additional taxes, mandates and regulations in this state.”
Members of the California Senate were judged on 12 bills that are considered important to the vitality of California's small business climate. For example, one of those bills was job killing climate change legislation SB 32, which Senator Fuller opposed in a floor speech that can be viewed here.
